Spring Break 2016 is just around this corner, and if you're looking for help on how to survive/accomplish a perfect spring break, then you've come to the right place! Lately I have been doing a lot of thinking about how to make this Spring Break one to remember. Whether you are going on a once in a lifetime vacation, or just planning something simple, the tips below are guaranteed to help you out. Continue reading down below to find out all of my advice on how to survive your upcoming Spring Break Vacation.
Heading out on a trip over Spring Break can be both exciting and terrifying. Below I have listed the most important things to remember when traveling, no matter where you are going! Take a look!
WEAR SUNSCREEN. Lots of it! The sun rays are the strongest from 10am - 3pm.
STAY HYDRATED. You can never go wrong with keeping water in your system. Make sure to stay healthy!
CHANGE YOUR MONEY. Bring local currency with you if you are traveling outside of the U.S. It can be cheaper!
INSURANCE? Travel insurance will cover illness, injury, and emergency situations. (Most of your health insurance policies can't say the same).
BUDDY UP. Keep an eye on each other, your personal items, and your drinks.
MAKE COPIES. Copy your important docs and store separately between your bags.
LESS IS MORE. Pack your suitcase, and then take out half. You will be fine.
DO YOUR RESEARCH. Know exactly where you are going and what to expect. This is important.
PLAN FINANCIALLY. Don't spend too much of something that you don't have.
TRAVEL SMART. Planning is everything. Don't be afraid to make an itinerary.
KEEP IN CONTACT. Stay safe by letting someone know where you are / where you are staying.
EXPLORE. Nature is free. Appreciate it more.
PUT THE CAMERA DOWN. Remember to put the phone down and experience the moment! Besides, you have enough selfies anyways.
If you have not traveled much before, or planned a Spring Break for yourself and some friends, here are some simple "do" and "don'ts" to remember to follow:
- DO: Post fun pictures of your Sping Break.

- DO: Pack electronics/medias to capture your trip for the memories.
- DON'T: Let your electronics become your trip. You have them at home.

Now it's time to be a little more serious. Here are tips for a smart and safe Spring Break. Make sure to check out all of the advice that I have to offer after my experiences with traveling. These tips are sure to come in handy when you're traveling for your Sping Break trip.
The Buddy System
Hang out in groups and ALWAYS use the buddy sytem. Never allow a friend to leave a party alone. Always travel with a buddy in a taxi, bus, or any type of public transportation. If you lose your buddy, please ask for assistance from a proper authority to escort you home.
Water and Beach Safety
Do NOT swim in the Ocean/Gulf at night. Remember, you'll be swimming at your own risk if a lifegaurd isn't on duty, so make sure you are following any flags or posted markers on the beach that are used to warn you about dangerous tides, harsh water conditions, or any other warning the beach patrol feels is necessary.
Drink Responsibly
Although I am not old enough to drink, I believe this is super important. Drink responsibly if and when you choose to drink. Know your limits. Note the time and amount of drinks per hour you are consuming. Do NOT accept drinks from strangers. Do not carry open containers of alcohol in the street or which in a car.
Transportation
Check with the hotel front desk for guideance on the cheapest, easistes and most reliable form of transportation. Use only licensed taxis and limos, and negotiate the fare beofre entering the taxi. Always travel with a buddy.
Hotel Tips
Check your hotel room and report any damage immediatly. Do not hang out on the balconies of the hotel after a night (or day) of partying. Secure any valuables in a hotel safety deposit box. Do not damage any hotel property, including your rrom. Make sure your hotel door AND balcony door are locked AT ALL TIMES, whether you are in the room or not. Do NOT remove your hotel wristband as they are used by security for guest identification and hotel access purposes.
Contact Information
Carry your hotel information with you at all times (phone #, address, etc.)
(If you get lost or disorienter, this information will help get you to your hotel.) Carry your cell phone and input your emergency phone numbers (ICE - In Case of Emergency).
I hope you found this Spring Break 2016 Survive Guide helpful when getting ready to go on your vacation. It is always important to travel safe and smart. These are just some of the best tips I have found that come in handy when traveling. I hope everyone has a great spring break! Have fun!
